Data Product Owner

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Data Product Owner to join our team. This individual will be responsible for creating, enhancing, and implementing product initiatives for the Digital Health team. This individual will be responsible for leading the development and management of our healthcare data products, ensuring alignment with market needs, regulatory requirements, and company objectives. This role requires a deep understanding of healthcare informatics and a passion for leveraging data to drive positive outcomes in the healthcare industry.

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead the vision, strategy, and roadmap for healthcare data products, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, data science, design, and marketing.
• Define and prioritize product features and enhancements based on market research, customer feedback, and industry trends, with a focus on improving patient outcomes and healthcare delivery.
• Gather and analyze requirements from stakeholders, translating them into user stories, functional specifications, and acceptance criteria.
• Serve as the subject matter expert on healthcare informatics, including electronic health records (EHR), medical claims data, clinical data, and healthcare interoperability standards.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and compliance with regulatory standards such as HIPAA, GDPR, and FDA regulations.
• Work closely with engineering teams to plan and prioritize development sprints, track progress, and address technical challenges.
• Conduct market analysis and competitive research to identify emerging trends and opportunities in the healthcare data landscape.
• Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and impact of healthcare data products, iterating based on feedback and metrics.
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, and customer success teams to develop go-to-market strategies, sales enablement materials, and customer support processes.
• Act as a trusted advisor to internal and external stakeholders, providing insights and recommendations on healthcare informatics best practices, trends, and technologies.
• Work with the VP, Sales and Marketing in promoting products to improve sales and revenue. Identify product marketing ideas and opportunities based on industry trends, current market environment and competitive trends.
• Provide both internal and external training on product changes and new products.

Education Necessary for Position:

• Bachelor's or master’s degree in healthcare informatics, computer science, or a related field.

Experience & Skills Necessary for Position:

• 5 years of proven experience in product management or product ownership roles, preferably in the healthcare or digital health industry.
• Deep understanding of healthcare informatics concepts, standards, and technologies.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR), healthcare interoperability standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR), and healthcare data analytics.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex requirements into actionable plans.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across functional teams and levels of the organization.
• Experience with agile development methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance in healthcare, including HIPAA, GDPR, and FDA regulations.
• Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or similar certification is desirable.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $110,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
