SUSHI CHEFJOB DESCRIPTION
Sake Haus, opening soon in the Roosevelt Row Arts & Entertainment district inPhoenix, Arizona is looking to hire skilled and experienced Sushi Chefs. The ideal candidate has the appropriate skill set and passion for the art of sushi and Japanese cuisine.
Sake Haus will have a Tokyo street vibe and be a little on the dark side with progressive music and a big bar program including a large selection of sake,Japanese whisky, Japanese craft beer, and creative and fun cocktails.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years in an elevated sushi environment as a Sushi Chef with experience in preparing and producing sashimi, nigiri, and maki. The right candidate is cool under pressure and gets along well with others.
Job Requirements: Prepare traditional Japanese sushi ricePrepare ingredients, sauces and dishes according to quality standards, portion sizes, and food costsBe personable and respectful with guests and staffPossess a solid sense of timingOwn their own knives and toolsSet up workstations with ingredients and equipmentMaintain a clean work environment
Must be available to work nights and weekends
Compensation: This is up for discussion but with our first location being small (90 seats) the position will be a competitive hourly rate plus shared tips.
Our first location opens in March 2022.
