Machine Operator

Responsibilities

Job Description:

• The Manufacturing Line Operator will be responsible for setting up, operating, feeding raw material, monitoring, troubleshooting and report any required maintenance on assigned production lines.
• The Manufacturing Line Operator will also be responsible for inspecting the product and adjusting as necessary to maintain quality.
• Keep work areas clean to avoid product contamination and maintain a safe workplace.
• Follow all safety guidelines, GMPs and regulations laid out by OSHA and this organization.
• Constantly monitor the appearance of the product and take the necessary corrective actions to maintain it within specifications.
  
  

Requirements

• 2-3 years of experience operating equipment in a food production environment
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Working in a cold/wet environment (35-40 degrees) for extended periods of time in warehouse. 
• Wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while in the warehouse. 
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
• Visual acuity to read instructions, operate machines and inspect product produced.
  
  

Experience and Ideal Candidate

• Preferred 2 years (1 minimum) experience in a Production/Manufacturing environment as a Machine Operator
• Accuracy and attention to detail with ability to multi-task
• Analytical abilities and aptitude in problem-solving
• Familiarity with basic hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, small wrenches etc.
