Core Functions:
- Oversee the daily operations of the Access Services department within Salem Health and Salem Health West Valley.
- Lead Access Services team members with a focus on teamwork, communication, adaptability, and quality service delivery.
- Routinely audits standard work to help ensure compliance with Access Services standards.
- Provides timely feedback to staff questions and concerns in regular huddles and meetings. Assist Supervisors and staff with optimizing workflow and trouble-shooting issues.
- Partner with the Patient Access Director, Systems Director of Revenue Cycle & Access Services Management team on the development of new policies.
Background/Expertise:
- Bachelors degree required.
- Minimum of five (5) years hospital-based experience required.
- Supervisory or managerial experience required. Minimum of three (3) years preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs required.
- Working knowledge of billing & coding rules and regulations required, i.e., CPT, HCPCS,
- ICD-9, ICD-10, APC, and DRG
- Working knowledge of reimbursement required.
- Hospital revenue cycle experience required.
