Overview

Salem Media Group in Colorado Springs, CO with formats in Contemporary Christian, Christian Teaching and Talk, and Conservative News Talk, is looking for its next Morning Co-Show Host and Promotions Director. We are looking for a dynamic on-air talent that loves promotional planning.

Responsibilities

• Co-host of KBIQ Show, Mon-Fri
• Radio production and voice tracking
• Copywriting
• Pre-planning for daily program
• Run an on-air control room board
• Create and plan show specific content and contests
• Record, edit and produce commercials with digital production software
• Work alongside General Manager and Operations Manager for event and promotional planning
• Research and create promotional partnerships and community events
• Work with local and corporate digital content managers for web development
• Organize prizes and all contests
• Create and record public affairs program and reports
• Creating and sending weekly e-blast newsletter
• Social networking for three radio stations
• Must be able to work occasional evenings and weekends as needed for events and live broadcasts.
• Execute station promotions from inception to completion
• Establish station events and presence at key local events
• Involves interaction with local churches, community leaders, listeners, advertisers and vendors

Qualifications

• Experience in planning and executing promotional events
• Ability to lift up to 10 lbs of broadcast equipment/promotional items for events
• Strong computer skills required including web development, photo editing and presentation design
• Must be familiar with Google Analytics, Dreamweaver, Photoshop & mobile apps
• Proven track record with a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in the broadcast industry preferred
• On-air experience is preferred and must be able to provide air-check of your work
