Salesforce Inc. seeks Network Engineer in San Francisco, CA:

Job Duties: Plan, direct, or coordinate activities in such fields as electronic data processing, information systems, systems analysis, and computer programming. Design and engineer for technical network projects and work alongside architects and other engineers to deliver network solutions that align with company vision and growth. Design, Deployment and support major components including Cisco Multi context firewalls (Firepowers), Any connect VPN, Cisco ISE, Palo Alto Networks Firewalls, Gigamon and Zscaler. Participate in on-call rotation and support global Salesforce corporate network security devices. Participate in Network troubleshooting to resolve issues that are complex and chronic in nature. Develop Standard Operating Procedures for operations of security devices and practices. Participate and lead development and execution of network changes by following Salesforce change management processes. Participate in scrum and stand up activities and ceremonies. Utilize strong practical knowledge with Python or other scripting languages as well as automation best practices HQ address additionally encompasses the following Salesforce locations in San Francisco: 350 Mission Street, 415 Mission Street, and 50 Fremont Street. The permanent position may be offered at any of these locations in San Francisco. Telecommuting is an option.

Minimum Requirements: Master's degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering (any field), or a related quantitative discipline, and two (2) years of experience in the field of software engineering/program analysis or two (2) years of experience in the job offered.

A related technical degree required (Computer Science, Engineering (any field)).

Special Skill Requirements: (1) Linux; (2) Firewalls; (3) Python; (4) Wireshark; (4) Cisco IOS; (6) HTTPS; (7) DNS; and (8) DHCP. Any suitable combination of education, training and/or experience is acceptable. Telecommuting is an option.
