Role Description
We are seeking an industry-leading sales leader to lead Slack’s, Consumer Business Services, Commercial (1-4500) Sales organization for the United States. Our mission is to make people’s working lives simpler, more pleasant, and more productive – and this leader is responsible for driving growth and evangelizing Slack to new and existing Consumer Business Services customers in the US.
We are looking for a Sales Leader to join our fast growing Sales organization and lead and grow a team selling to Commercial customers and prospects across Consumer Business Services industries in the United States. You will build and lead a diverse team of hardworking individuals looking for mentorship and help growing their careers. In addition, you will remove barriers to customer adoption of Slack and collaborate with the broader Leadership Team. This is a fast paced role that requires strong leadership, priority management and interpersonal skills.
What you will be doing:
Directly support a team of Account Executives that have fun winning together
Establish trust and accountability across Salesforce core and Customer 360 selling teams aligned to help customers unlock the power of Slack Customer 360
Support ongoing growth and development including recruiting, hiring, training and mentoring reps
Participate in customer and prospect meetings and help define a strong business case
Collaborate with Solution Engineering, Customer Success, Business Value and other cross-functional teams to drive success and prioritize where Slack invests its resources
Identify product and technology gaps with Customers and present a point of view to Slack’s Product and Leadership Teams
Run weekly forecast meetings and coach Account Executives on strategies to reach their goals
Report on sales activity and manage a regular revenue forecast
Achieve key performance metrics and goals
Work with your team to discuss, plan and implement process improvements
Your Impact:
7 years of Sales experience preferably within an Enterprise SaaS organization
4 years of Sales Management experience preferably within an Enterprise SaaS organization
Understanding and/or selling to large Consumer Business Services (travel, hospitality, & Professional Services industries)
Solid understanding of Enterprise SaaS applications and collaboration technology
Consistent track record of selling software into large Enterprise accounts and achieving personal and team goals
Ability to grow business in a strategic manner including demand generation
Excellent coaching, writing, discovery and presentation skills
History of thriving in a rapidly-changing environment
Passion for growing customer happiness and deepening customer relationships
Comfortable and willing to be a hands-on contributor
Degree or equivalent relevant experience required. Experience will be evaluated based on the core competencies for the role (e.g. extracurricular leadership roles, military experience, volunteer roles, work experience, etc.)
