Provide personal care; companionship; homemaking; errands; accompanying people to appointments; meal preparation; medication reminders; and more. Our highly trained staff meets changing needs. SALMON Health and Retirement’s Milford Campus also features the offices supporting SALMON VNA and Hospice. All of these services are delivered in the field; i.e., in people’s homes, wherever they may live. Description: The Private Duty Aide will be a HHA or CNA that will provide care, company, and companionship to patients under the Private Care umbrella.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring patients’ physical and mental condition while maintaining patient comfort
  • Maintaining a clean and safe environment while ensuring the highest quality of care at all times
  • Assisting patients with personal services, such as, bathing, dressing, grooming and housekeeping
  • Helping patients care for themselves by aiding in the use of canes, walkers, special eating utensils, and special techniques and equipment for personal hygiene
  • Notifying nursing supervisor of changing or unusual conditions

Requirements:

  • PCA, HHA and/or CNA certification
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Strong communication skills, friendly and professional demeanor
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to work under stress and in emergency situations
  • Commitment to providing compassionate care
