What are the responsibilities and job description for the Server position at Salsa Brava?
The purpose of this position is to interact with our guests and ensure they have a great experience when dining at an RMRG restaurant. Servers are responsible for positive guest interactions while serving guests in a friendly and efficient manner. At all times, Servers are expected to be attentive to our guest's needs and making them feel welcome, comfortable, important and relaxed.
Responsibilities
- Prepares the tables, laying out napkins and utensils, making sure the condiments are refilled, performing all other preparation tasks.
- Staying updated on current menu choices, specialties and menu deviations, knowing if the kitchen staff is running out of any items.
- Assist with table seatings and table bookings when applicable, escort customers to their tables, presenting menus, suggesting dishes, assisting in drink selection, informing customers about food preparation details.
- Communicating specific customer needs to the cooks, including any allergy information.
- Identifies when guest may have had too much to drink and notify supervisor.
- Maintaining proper dining experience, delivering items, fulfilling customer needs, offering desserts and drinks, removing courses, replenishing utensils, refilling glasses.
- Properly open and pour wine at the tableside when applicable.
- Obtaining revenues, issuing receipts, accepting payments, returning guest’s change.
- Performing basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by supervisor.
- Filling in for absent staff as needed.
- Assisting with special events as needed.
- Greet all guests warmly with an appropriate greeting.
- Adhere to grooming and appearance standards consistently.
- Understands and can communicate products and services available at the restaurant and develops some familiarity with basic cooking skills.

Paid Sick Leave-Colorado
Per the Colorado Healthy Families and Workplaces Act ("HFWA"), RMRG provides the following paid leave to all employees working in a Colorado-based location:
Accrued Paid Sick Leave
Up to 48 hours of paid leave per year, for the use of a variety of health and safety needs. Employees earn 1 hour of leave for every 30 hours worked. Leave is paid at the same pay rate as time worked.
Public Health Emergency (PHE) Leave
Up to 80 hours of PHE-related paid leave when a PHE is declared. The PHE leave is for COVID-related needs only as of 1/8/23. Leave is paid at the same pay rate as time worked, except for category 3 (care for someone else), which is paid at 2/3 pay.
