What are the responsibilities and job description for the Specialist III, Conference Center position at Salt Lake Community College?
Assist in the coordination of timely physical setup, hosting and post event wrap up of all events, while maintaining a safe environment at the Conference Center at Miller Campus.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties
Open classrooms and event spaces for daily events. Check all spaces before clients have arrived, ensuring that setup meets prescribed expectations. Set up audio/visual equipment and other amenities as outlined in the Weekly Schedule of Events, ensuring all Conferencing services are in place. Troubleshoot and resolve client equipment and setup compatibility issues. Provide deliberative resolution in a timely manner to avoid conflict with event times. Secure conference spaces at night by locking all doors and ensuring clients have exited the building.
