Operator 2
Position Summary/Objective of Job:
The Operator 2 Team Member is primarily responsible for operating, inspecting and maintaining the production equipment, including but not limited to: Mix Tanks, CBF, Pint Filler, Bundler, Fruit Feeders. The Operator 2 Team Member is responsible for monitoring and maintaining the production machinery. They are also responsible for training new Operators on the equipment. Due to the familiarity and expertise the Operator 2 Team Members have on the equipment, they also are responsible for recognizing and suggesting to management potential process improvements on the machinery and in production.
Essential Functions:

Monitors and maintains manufacturing equipment on a constant basis.

Conducts pre- and post-op checks on equipment daily.

Uses equipment to complete daily production tasks.

Sets up and disassembles equipment daily.

Follows SSOP and trains new Operators on machinery, follows up on training to ensure understanding and proper adherence to SSOP & procedures.

Tier 1 support and troubleshooting on any issues with equipment.

Documents all lot codes used in production.

Follows Good Manufacturing Practice(GMP) and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) guidelines on a constant basis and monitors the team for the same adherence and escalates as necessary.

Ensures all quality standards are being upheld and met.

Escalates issues immediately through chain of command depending on situation.

Meets daily production goals.

The Operator 2 Team Member must work and coordinate with others on the team throughout the shift.

Qualifications: To perform the job successfully, an individual should have the following qualifications:.

1-2 years machine operating experience is preferred.
Knowledge and Critical Skills:

Fluency in English: reading, writing, speaking.

Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.
-
Specific knowledge for each piece of machinery is necessary.
-
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
-
Ability to communicate effectively with a range of people and experience levels.

Patience and a positive attitude is required for the teaching that this position will be responsible for.

Need to have critical thinking and problem solving skills.

95% of their time will be in the production room which is between 50-60 degrees.

Occasionally be in refrigerators 32-40 degrees and in freezers -15 to 0 degrees.

Occasionally strong scents & odors depending on ingredients and cleaning.
