Summary:
Project Superintendent has full responsibility for the onsite production of the project. Superintendent is responsible for directing craftsmen and subcontractors, assuring conformity to design documents, maintaining milestones to meet schedule, conducting weekly jobsite and safety meetings, scheduling equipment, and working with the project team to ensure the SCI quality and service standards are met. Superintendents are expected to conform to corporate policies and procedures, uphold ethical standards, and exemplify corporate values. Superintendents report directly to their designated Project Manager.
Typical Duties:
Communicate and collaborate with SCI Project Team through construction completion to ensure job is per plans/specs, on time and in budget
Understand the complete Project Scope of Work
Effectively manage all activities through construction completion to ensure job is per plans/specs, on time and in budget
Manage all jobsite material verification and equipment tracking
Responsible for leading weekly site and safety meeting
Ensure all trades are adhering to project schedule
Follow all OSHA, SCI Fleet Management and SCI Company Safety Policies
Manage SCI General Construction Labor and Tradesman
Responsible for Quality Control of jobsite including punch lists and warranty items
Collaborate with other SCI Superintendents to request, schedule and report General Construction Labor and/or Tradesman
Participate in monthly Superintendent meeting
Manage all aspects of the job in regards to the grading, site concrete, under slab rough-in, foundation work, getting slab to grade, handling all utilities, landscaping, and site amenities
Adhere to all SCI Compant Processes AND remain positive with your team and customent to complete the project
Qualifications:
Educational requirements include a 4-year college degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and experience
Career experience must include at least 5 years of supervision in construction
Commercial construction experience must include construction means, methods, equipment, tools, and work procedures, as well as advanced understanding of construction scheduling, and cost control
Commercial construction experience must include control and supervision of large groups of craftsmen
Good written and oral communication
Must be willing and able to speak before groups of people in project interviews and other presentations
OSHA-30 trained
Microsoft Office Suite
Proactively develop solutions to construction field issues that arise and follow appropriate communication protocol to implement solutions
Carry out such other instructions, directions and duties as the company may request from time to time
Physical Demands:
Continuously sit, stand, or walk. Bend, squat, climb stairs, and ladders
Lift up to 20 pounds frequently and occasionally up to 50 pounds
Work Environment:
Job trailer/office or jobsite
Work in extreme weather may be required
Work in high elevations may be required
Temporary relocation or travel may be required for projects out of town
