The Role:
As a Senior Accountant, you will play a critical role in overseeing and managing the financial operations of the organization. Reporting directly to the Controller, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial statements, compliance with accounting standards, and the effective management of financial reporting processes. This position requires a high level of expertise in accounting principles, strong analytical skills, and the ability to lead and mentor junior accounting staff.
What You'll Do:
- Prepare journal entries and actively participate in month-end, year-end financial closing process and reporting
- Balance sheet accounts reconciliation
- Manage fixed assets
- Ensure accuracy of financial statement in accordance with GAAP and compliance to internal policies
- Participate in internal and external audits
- Property, sales, and use tax and franchise tax returns
- Reconcile credit card activity daily
- Collection calls/communications
- Support Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
- Wire payments
- Showroom sales consolidation and reporting
- Perform ad-hoc financial and accounting reports
- Adhere to Good Manufacturing Processes, Food Safety Standards and related operational procedures
- Other projects and duties as assigned
