What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Technician position at Sam Dong?
Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Production Engineering Technician to join our team. As a Production Engineering Technician, you will be responsible for participating in the development and reviewing of technical data sheets for the production floor. This is a hands-on role that requires mechanical knowledge and the ability to read and interpret schematics.
Responsibilities:
- Review & approve customer source control drawings, specification control drawings and other applicable specifications to determine requirements and/or feasibility of the component.
- Prepare preliminary design proposal(s)
- Interact with PEP Supervisor to assist in the process to define and solve manufacturing/design issues
- Prepare technical data sheets for production
- Participate/interact with the business team on engineering design with questions/problems
- Participate in engineering and general design review as required
- Check inventory for needed materials and supplies required for each job order
Requirements:
- High school diploma required; 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude with the ability to read, analyze, interpret blueprints and documents
- Ability to apply logical/scientific thinking to an wide range of practical problems
-Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables
- Familiarity with CAD software, such as AutoCAD, is a plus
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Strong computer skills to include Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
