Description
The Director of Graduate Admission supports the Assistant Vice President for Enrollment to fulfill graduate enrollment goals by means of planning and executing graduate recruitment initiatives and managing the daily recruitment process and leading all those responsible for participating in that process.
Job Duties
- Collaborate with Graduate school leadership to help develop enrollment goals and communicate regularly concerning the progress of established goals throughout the recruitment process.
- Counsel graduate applicants on admission requirements and scholarship processes
- Participate in all recruiting initiatives for the Office of Admission including, but not limited to, extensive personal follow-up on inquires and assistance with applicants through the enrollment process
- Direct information sessions and meet with prospective students and school officials
- Oversee the tracking and reporting of each graduate program’s enrollment funnel
- Generate and distribute monthly quantitative and qualitative graduate reports
- Manage and develop direct reports for maximum success
- Coordinate evaluation process of each graduate recruiter for goals and objectives
- Develop and oversee all training and training material for graduate recruitment staff
- Conduct weekly calls for all graduate recruiters
- Work with graduate recruiters to develop strategic analysis of market trends, competitors and key factors influencing the decisions of prospective graduate students for specific Samford graduate programs
- Engage in the development and implementation of the application, evaluation, and decision release process for all graduate programs
- Engage in the coordination and execution of all on-campus open houses for prospective graduate students and families
- Provide support for graphic production and design as needed
- Lead coordination of and attend off campus events to promote graduate programs and recruit prospective graduate students
- Develop relationships with other universities, recruitment partners and professional organizations to spread graduate program awareness and identify additional recruitment opportunities
- Cover recruitment event conflicts as needed
- Develop and organize Graduate Admission Annual Report
- Assist with tele counseling, answering email and other follow-up activities needed to communicate with prospective/accepted students with measurable goals in mind
- Must be able to travel extensively
- Must be able to work evenings and weekends
Qualifications
- Master’s Degree
- 2-4 years work experience in student affairs, enrollment management, or related field
Preferred Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license
- Experience speaking with large groups (5 ) of people
- Previous work in customer service field for at least six months
