Title: Director, IT - Enterprise Data & Integrations

Job Summary:
As a Director in the Enterprise Data and Integrations team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and implementing the data and integration strategy for our organization. You will be responsible for leading a team of technology managers and engineers to ensure the seamless flow and accessibility of data across various systems, applications, and business units. The ideal candidate will bring a strong cloud data technical background, proven ability effectively lead delivery teams, and leadership skills to drive the success of our data and integration initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership
- Contribute to future state technology road map definitions and make recommendations to ensure effective investments are made to enable scale, quality, maintenance and overall cost effectiveness.
- Regularly assess and quantify the effectiveness of the team’s technical capabilities and take prompt action to close gaps.
- Collaborate with senior leadership and business stakeholders to define and prioritize data-related initiatives that support business growth and efficiency.
- Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure alignment on data and integration initiatives.
- Collaborate on and implement robust data architecture and governance frameworks to ensure data quality, security, and compliance.
- Stay current on industry trends and the use of emerging technologies that can contribute business value to their area helping to instill an engineering culture within the organization.
- Budget and manage financial plans as directed, while maintaining an awareness of industry benchmarks to serve as a basis of comparison.
Delivery and Execution
- Lead teams responsible for the design, implementation and management of scalable data solutions for ingesting, transforming, and storing diverse data sets from various sources into our data infrastructure.
- Lead engineering teams delivering data needs aligned to key project initiatives for the organization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address Enterprise Data needs across the organization.
- Provide engineering guidance to delivery teams to ensure effective designs for data solutions, with an emphasis on speed, scalability, reliability and effective cost management.
- Partner with the Architecture team to review and approve new solution designs.
- Ensure enforcement of standards and best practices is integrated into data solution delivery.
- Effectively manage detailed resource plans, forecasts and expertise needs of internal and external resources; contribute to planning of strategic skill mix decisions.
- Provide periodic leadership updates on delivery status of key initiatives.
Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing team of data engineers, integration specialists, and data analysts.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning within the team.
- Identify, hire, and retain high performing individuals.
- Work with individuals to establish development plans that align to individual career goals as well as organizational needs.
- Direct teams and provide leadership guidance in the troubleshooting and analysis of operational issues to seek prompt resolution.
- Manage vendor relationships on an operational/project level, ensuring effective integration into overall IT capabilities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 10 years in a technology leadership role overseeing data and integration functions.
- Expert knowledge of cloud data architecture, governance, and integration technologies.
- Experience leading teams following the Agile Scrum framework.
- Experience in the insurance or financial services industry is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
