Samsung Pay is seeking a Strategic Analyst to support its research and business development teams by highlighting opportunities, providing guidance, and driving revenue and growth. This is a highly visible role working with business leaders across many different departments. As a very hands on position, this individual will have the opportunity to be heavily involved in creating and developing concepts and ideas to help drive the success of Samsung Pay. This is an ideal role for a strategy consultant with a passion for digital payments and mobile marketing, who wants to join a fast-paced team that will influence the future of Samsung Pay.
Responsibilities
Utilize industry knowledge, data-enabled capabilities, analytic tools, and planning expertise to help BD, Merchant Sales, and Samsung leadership develop a strong strategy, make decisions that are more informed and drive increased users and revenue growth.
Develop an efficient process to gather and interpret large quantities of data.
Extract insights from data and develop predictive models to increase confidence in business planning and investment decisions.
Develop new, original, and differentiated points of view through data collection and analysis.
Participate in relevant client engagements as a recognized subject matter specialist to help produce new products and solutions.
Effectively articulate (verbal and written) and frame (PPT) the team’s strategies and performance to internal stakeholders, including senior management.
Develop, publish and present innovative, insightful, and actionable research.
Conduct industry and competitive research including analysis of industry analyst reports and compile results, forecast, and provide business insight.
Qualifications
An MBA degree and 2 years of relevant experience.
Strong analytical skills; experience in data analysis, business modeling and presentation: highly proficient in Excel & PowerPoint
Apply analytical thinking around commercial services, including revenue and cost modeling.
Be a strong storyteller in writing and with concise well thought out presentations.
Demonstrate the ability to communicate the “big picture” and also drill down to supporting details and translate a compelling story onto PowerPoint.
Strong interpersonal skills. You must be able to interact with wide cross-functional teams and leaders.
Pro-active, independent thinker with high energy/positive attitude.
Business case development and presentation experience.
Experience with a top management consulting firm or relevant boutique is strongly preferred.
Proven ability to bring structure to complexity in a practical way.
Passion in digital / mobile services is strongly desired.
