Operations works under the direction of the Operations Manager. This is a multi-tasking role that coordinates and supervises production team members (set-up, operators) to ensure that production output and quality is achieved efficiently in a safe work environment. This role is a hands-on position that combines supervisory, operations and administrative tasks to achieve operational objectives.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervisory responsibility for employee compliance with all company policies (safety, quality).
- Supervisory responsibility for employee training on production procedures and equipment operation.
- Supervisory responsibility for problem solving issues encountered in operations.
- Production plan management and related tasks (worker assignment, and production reporting, etc.)
- Hands-on technical or production tasks within skill set to support operations.
- Lead or attend meetings as required.
- Other duties, not currently assigned, as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- College or Technical Diploma or equivalent experience.
- Must have computer skills
- Microsoft Office; Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint; Experience with Internet use, and a general understanding of computers.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence and able to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
- Ability to solve technical practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
