Electrophysiology Advanced Practice Professional
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Griffin Hospital is seeking a full-time Advanced Practice Professional (APP) to support medical/ surgical services and the outpatient practice for Cardiac Electrophysiology.
The Advanced Practice Professional must possess the clinical skills required for the comprehensive management of cardiology/electrophysiology patients (including physiological, social and psychological assessments).
The APP must collaborate with medical/surgical specialty teams necessary to develop a comprehensive plan for the patient while admitted and upon discharge.
The APP will function as an outpatient provider by seeing follow-up patients in the clinic.
Clinical responsibilities will include the following duties but not limited to:
- Seeing electrophysiology patients in EP clinic. This includes
- Management of implantable cardiac devices, including pacemakers, defibrillator and loop monitoring, in the outpatient setting.
- Mangement of patients with arrhythmias, anti-arrhythmic drugs and anticoagulation.
- Telephone triage for patient support and clinical questions.
- Assisting administration staff with obtaining prior authorization and peer to peer to help facilitate surgical scheduling.
- Assisting physicians with inpatient consultations and coordination of care.
EDUCATION:
Applicants must have a current active CT license, CT Controlled Substance and DEA registration.
EXPERIENCE:
Cardiology experience required; electrophysiology experience strongly preferred.
