San Antonio Zoo is looking to hire a part-time Guest Relations to join our zoo family! Do you enjoy the hospitality industry? WORK SCHEDULE AND COMPENSATION
We are a year-round operation; this position requires a flexible schedule to work weekends, holidays, and occasionally after hours for special assignments. Guest Relations is a part-time weekly rotating schedule, including weekends, and the compensation is $11.00.

A DAY IN THE LIFE AS A GUEST RELATIONS
As a Guest Relations, you are responsible for acting as a liaison between annual pass holders and the Zoo, including superior skills to provide an excellent guest experience. Additionally, as a member assistant, you are responsible for data entry, typing, filing, answering, and redirecting incoming telephone calls, selling zoo annual, monthly passes, and admission tickets, and providing customer service support as needed. Responsibilities extend to various clerical and administrative tasks that require knowledge of office procedures and practices.
You must be fully committed to San Antonio Zoo's mission to create awareness that inspires action to care for the wildlife we steward and the animals we protect. It would be best if you took pride in knowing your hard work makes a difference in wildlife conservation.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR GUEST RELATIONS
- 1-year customer service experience preferred
- High school diploma, general education degree (GED), or equivalent experience and training.
- Ability to clean and organize, be attentive to details, and respond quickly and effectively under pressure.
- Must be able to account for large sums of cash, checks, and credit card sales accurately and adequately.
- Able to effectively listen and communicate clearly with a diverse population.
- Previous experience in a theme park or hospitality industry preferred.
- Proficient knowledge of MS Office and navigating multiple platforms; Blackbaud is a plus.
- Successful candidates must complete a pre-employment National Sex Offender Search, Criminal Background Check, and Drug Screen.
