Job Description
The student assistant will assist prospective, new, and continuing students with Multimedia subject matter questions and support. The student worker will assist in providing program related general support and assistance to faculty, staff, and students during class/lab activities. Must have the ability to work with a diverse student population.
Summary Description
- Assist with open computer lab duties, including answering questions and assisting students with equipment and technology
- Assist with providing Center for Digital Media information to interested students.
- Assist with creation and distribution of flyers, brochures and other department outreach materials
- Maintains a professional environment in the computer labs and Makerspace including cleanup procedures
- Perform other office clerical tasks as assigned.
- Demonstrates an ability to work as a team and independently, demonstrates strong communication skills, ability to multi task, and an attention to detail.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- Student must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 units.
- Must have completed at least 12 units at CHC, have a major declared, and a minimum 2.0 GPA
- Must complete a tb test at time of employment
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with Design and 3D modeling programs
- Knowledge and experience with Crafton Hills College's current Multimedia/CIS or Computer Science curriculum
- Experience with Social Media platforms
- Experience developing and updating print and digital content/publications
