Job Summary:
The San Diego Symphony is seeking an IT Coordinator to add to our growing team. This is an opportunity to work within the San Diego Symphony's technology team and learn about Technical Operations, IT process, and what it takes to run The Rady Shell at Jacobs Park as well as the newly reopened Jacobs Music Center. The IT Coordinator will be a jack-of-all-trades and provide technology assistance with helpdesk and technology projects within the institution and work with 3rd party vendors for implementation.
This role will include helping to build, maintain, and troubleshoot the various Information Systems used throughout the organization. Successful candidates must be equipped to work in a dynamic, rapidly expanding, and ever-changing environment. This role will be primarily to support the end users, in addition to working within the IT team on special projects and technology initiatives. Candidates will serve as a member of our technical team and collectively demonstrate excellent customer service while developing their technical knowledge. Qualified applicants must have flexibility to tackle multiple tasks during the day and see them through from start to finish.

Requirements
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Working with internal users to solve routine trouble tickets (password resets, network connectivity, etc.) through Zendesk ticketing system, create knowledge base articles for repeat processes.
- End User System setup, configuration and troubleshooting including testing and maintaining operating systems, application software and system management tools
- Configuration and administration of Office 365 accounts though the vendors web portal
- Configuration and administration of VoIP phones though the vendors web portal
- Assist with end user training, creation of user guides and videos
- Conduct user audits monthly confirming New Hires, Separations and Role Changes
- Review change-management logs and audit security logs
- Procure, Track and Dispose of technology assets as part of ongoing lifecycle management.
- 1 or more years of experience working in a technical role
- Experience working with ticketing systems (Zendesk, Spiceworks, Jira, etc.)
- Basic support of Windows 10/11 Operating Systems
- Basic understanding of how networks operate (Hardware and TCI/IP)
- Ability to pass the CompTIA ITF and A exams within 6 months of employment
- Office 365 Experience (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
- Customer service and professionalism

- Ability to quickly grasp concepts and execute on them
- Dedication to institutional goals
- Ability to communicate with clients positively in non-technical terms
- Accountability and reliability
- Available to work Monday through Friday: 8:30am - 5:30pm; with some weekend and afterhours event support shifts.
- Occasional weekend hours may be needed when working on special projects
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds
- Capable of moving up to 50 pounds with the assistance of a cart
- Flexibility to climb under desks for equipment access
- Ability to work on ladders, occasionally as high as 50 feet
- Capable of moving technology equipment between various sites
Pay Range:
