Specific responsibilities include:

  • Lead Pathway recruitment, selection and hiring strategy
  • Analyze recruitment needs based on workforce analyses and staffing goals; develop national, statewide and local recruitment plans
  • Plan and coordinate the administration of recruitment and selection activities to meet ambitious recruitment targets. Lead analysis of selection results to determine passing scores and the most qualified candidate.
  • Work closely with SFSUD’s HR Team to facilitate staffing and support hiring for all Pathway teachers
  • Support Pathway teachers to successfully complete all credential requirements
  • Provide high touch case management to Pathway teachers to ensure they are positioned to meet all credentialing requirements to earn a preliminary credential
  • Manage test preparation and test support for teacher candidates
  • Evaluate transcripts, track and record teacher certification recommendations for the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC)
  • Collaborate with the SFUSD Credentials Team to troubleshoot specific challenges and ensure efficiency and accuracy in reporting and counseling teachers
  • Track, analyze, and present data
  • Monitor and report on progress toward meeting recruitment, selection and hiring goals
  • Collect and analyze data to allow for close monitoring of teacher progress toward program completion requirements
  • Manage data tracking system and dashboards for real time data communication
  • Analyze and present survey data to drive program improvement
  • Support Pathway communications strategy
  • Develop and lead communication plan to ensure Pathway teachers and coaches are up-to-date on each teacher’s credentialing progress and requirements
  • Manage Pathway website and social media
  • Send weekly Pathway teacher newsletter
  • Provide additional project and operations support as needed

The Pathway Recruitment & Credential Analyst will report to the Policy and Operations Manager and join a data-driven team committed to attracting and supporting high-quality teachers in SFUSD. They will lead a recruitment strategy to meet ambitious targets. They will case manage Pathway teachers to increase rates of program completion and support with data collection and analysis. They will also assist in the execution of all Pathway program operations, providing day-to-day logistical and credentialing support to ensure all aspects of the program run smoothly.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Possession of a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university.

Experience: One (1) year of professional human resources experience in one or more of the following areas of activity: recruitment and selection, classification and compensation, employee and/or labor relations, benefits administration and human resources operations.


Substitution:

Education Substitution - Verifiable professional human resources work experience in one or more of the following areas may substitute for up to two years of the required education on a year-for-year basis: recruitment and selection, classification and compensation, employee and/or labor relations, benefits administration and human resources operations. (One year of experience will be considered equivalent to 30 semester or 45 quarter units of college coursework.)

Experience Substitution - Completion of a 12 month human resources trainee program equivalent to the City and County of San Francisco’s 1249 Human Resources Training Program may substitute for the one (1) year of required professional experience.

  • Demonstrated success in analyzing, interpreting, and displaying quantitative data and diverse information and to make recommendations based on the findings, specifically using Excel
  • Strong skills in Excel and the Google Suite
  • Experience working in high-need schools or with historically underserved populations

SFUSD offers a competitive salary of $77,093.74 - $93,627.24 commensurate with experience in a similar position.
