San Luis Valley Health is seeking a Facilities Supervisor for our Conejos County Hospital. This position will supervise the day to day operations of the Facilities Maintenance, Environmental Services, and Laundry staff in La Jara and Antonito.
What You'll Need:
- High School Graduate or GED
- 2 Years of Vocational/ Technical Training in either electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or construction.
- Knowledge of Autoclaving Bio-waste, Life Safety, Construction Phasing, and Environmental Services duties.
What You'll Do:
- Directly supervises the daily operation of Maintenance Engineers, Maintenance Mechanics, Groundskeepers, Environmental Services, and Laundry staff.
- Assist in interviewing, hiring, and training of new employees to perform all tasks as outlined in their job descriptions.
- Set clear expectations for staff by developing job specific customer service expectations and behaviors for each position and clearly communicates expectations to each employee.
- Directs maintenance activities on utility systems to provide continuous supply of heat, steam, electric, power, gas, or oxygen for facility operations and patient care.
- Inspects operating machines and equipment to conform to operation standards.
- Makes daily rounds on all areas possible and ensure work is being performed to standards and that all areas are adequately covered.
- Promote positive interpersonal customer relationships with fellow employees, patients, and visitors; treating each individual with courtesy, dignity, empathy, and respect.
- Have and maintain appropriate certification, licensure, or registrations as needed.
