Job description
Responsibilities:
- Cleans living quarters of the Motherhouse sisters;
- Cleans chapel
- Dry/wet mop all floors, hallways and community rooms. Dusts furniture, venetian blinds, and window sills in these areas;
- Cleans bathrooms, laundries, and kitchenettes (including refrigerators);
- Cleans window treatments, including removal and replacements;
- Prepares empty rooms in the Motherhouse for guests’ arrival and departure in consultation with the Motherhouse Coordinator.
Skills:
- Experience in housekeeping or custodial work preferred
- Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and use of cleaning equipment
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
- Strong attention to detail and thoroughness in completing tasks
- Excellent customer service skills to ensure guest satisfaction
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Basic knowledge of laundry procedures, including sorting, washing, drying, and folding clothes and linens
- Familiarity with floor care techniques, such as carpet cleaning and floor waxing/stripping
Note: Housekeeping management experience is not required for this position.
