What are the responsibilities and job description for the Walkie rider position at San Rafael?
Rotating Shift/Days: 6:00AM-4:00pm
Start Day: 11/28/2023 & 12/05/2023
Responsibilities:
- Operate a pallet jack to move and transport materials within a warehouse or distribution center
-Case Picking Experience
- Safely load and unload pallets from trucks or storage areas
- Utilize OSHA-approved safety procedures and guidelines while operating the pallet jack
- Inspect and maintain the pallet jack to ensure proper functioning
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines
- Follow instructions from supervisors and adhere to company policies and procedures
Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience operating a pallet jack in a warehouse or similar environment
- Proficiency in operating other material handling equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, clamp trucks, cherry pickers, etc.
- Knowledge of mechanical systems and ability to troubleshoot minor issues
- Familiarity with rigging and crane operations is a plus
- Ability to build and stack pallets efficiently and safely
Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy loads (up to 50 pounds)
- Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a focus on safety
