Duties:
*The MSSQL Database Administrator (DBA) is responsible for implementation,
configuration, maintenance and performance of critical server RDBMS systems.
*The main goal is to ensure the availability and consistent performance of various corporate Microsoft SQL Server databases.
* This role will ensure the high levels of performance availability, sustainability, security of our SQL servers and databases, refine and automate regular processes, track issues and document changes
Minimum Qualifications:
*Graduation from a four-year college or university with a
major in business administration, information systems management, or a closely
related field and
*Three years of experience in the management of a data system.
*Associates degree in information systems management and
*Five years’ experience in the management of a data system.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Manage SQL Server databases through multiple product lifecycle environments,
from development to mission-critical production systems.
Configure and maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring
of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance,
availability, and security.
Apply data modeling techniques to ensure development and implementation
support efforts meet integration and performance expectations
Independently analyze, solve, and correct issues in real-time, providing problem
resolution end-to-end.
Assist developers, network administration, and applications support staff in
diagnosing and resolving database-related application problems Dev Support-
Architect and design of production database systems
Create objects (tables, views, indices, keys), as required by architects and
developers
Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes
Database Backup and Recovery Design, test and implement Disaster Recovery,
Backup and Restore strategies
Preferred Experience: Advanced skills in MS SQL Server, Data Integration, Data
Warehouse. Expert in MS SQL DB, Performance tuning and optimization, High Availability
and, Disaster Recovery options for SQL Server. MCSE or MVP certification is a plus.
