Job Posting for PURCHASING CLERK at Sandia Resort And Casino
Position Summary
Provides administrative support including processing purchase orders, placing orders, and organizing paperwork in accordance with Sandia Resort & Casino Purchasing Department standard operating procedures.
Supervision Exercised
Supervised by the Materials Manager
Major Duties and Responsibilities
1.Processes purchase requisitions and service agreements in compliance with standard operating procedures.
- Obtains W-9s, NM NTTCs, Certificates of Insurance, vendor credit applications and STGC vendor license registration.
- Assists in organization and maintenance of electronic filing system.
- Coordinates with Accounts Payable and Shipping & Receiving in order to ensure accurate pricing, product, and quantity delivered.
- Performs additional duties as necessary.

- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Must have excellent math skills.
- Must have excellent computer skills using windows based software.
- Ability to understand and execute complex oral and written instructions.
- Ability to be flexible and move from one task to another easily and quickly.
- Ability to exhibit strong initiative and motivational commitment to the organization.
- Ability to deal effectively with casino team members and be a team player.
- Ability to file, do ten key, and use computer skills.
- Ability to work odd and unusual hours, including weekends and overtime as needed.
- Knowledge of general office methods.
- Ability to use discretion in working with sensitive and confidential records.
Minimum Qualifications, Education and Experience
Required:
- High school diploma, GED certification or equivalent.
- Two (2) years experience in a position involved in the purchasing, shipping & receiving, or inventory management.
Licensing Status
Must be able to obtain and maintain the required Gaming License.
Will require a post-offer, pre-employment and random drug screening.
Working Conditions
- Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
- Limited physical effort is required.
- Limited exposure to physical risk.
- Work hours subject to change with overtime work required.
- Must be able to work long hours under stressful conditions
