THE POSITION:

The position plays an integral role in achieving operational objectives. The individual will interface with campus leadership and manage all aspects of the human resources component. The individual will lead the department to comply with government regulations and to foster the values, achieve the goals and realize the mission of Sandpiper and Premier.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL:

  • Demonstrate passion for providing excellence.
  • Have experience with, knowledge of and exposure to structure, systems, and implementation of policies and procedures.
  • Show success at selecting, developing, mentoring, motivating, and evaluating direct and in-direct reports.
  • Demonstrate a history of desirable survey and audit results, ensuring compliance with state and federal laws and licensure requirements.
  • Foster a smoothly functioning, efficient, service oriented organization through operational integration, anticipation of problems, the timely and effective resolution of disruptions, and the establishment and maintenance of continuous improvement programs and processes.
  • Foster sound communications and relationships with staff, other providers, vendors, and insurers.
  • Have the ability to accurately analyze complex scenarios and effectively communicate desired outcomes to a wide variety of people.
  • Demonstrate a management style which emphasizes collegiality, teamwork, participation and communication, while maintaining professionalism and adherence to rules.
  • Display personal characteristics which include tough-mindedness, self-motivation, high energy, diplomacy, creativity, high integrity, reasoned and thoughtful judgment, a balance between analytical and intuitive skills, the urge to have fun, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to “roll up his/her sleeves” and apply these attributes.
  • Possess outstanding interpersonal and verbal communication skills on an individual and group basis, excellent writing skills, professional appearance, an executive demeanor and a proven track record of solving problems.
  • Enjoy an ability to inspire others: to set a positive example for others by providing assistance, recognition, and encouragement; to identify and articulate clear meaningful goals; to focus the efforts of others; to respond to urgent requests and to adapt well to changing conditions.
  • Able to monitor, track, trend, and maintain compliance with in house and web-based training
  • Work with company partners to manage Worker’s Compensation benefits

SELECTION CRITERIA:

  • Minimum of Associate Degree
  • PHR preferred but not required
  • At least 5 years experience in human resources in a senior healthcare or senior living setting
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite\
