Position Purpose:This position is designed to support the buying responsibilities of the procurement department by ensuring production supplies and other purchased items as assigned are available for production as required by utilizing the most cost-effective suppliers while maintaining the high standards of quality.Summary of Responsibilities:• Review Purchase Requests and purchase approved items utilizing the purchase order function in Sage X3.• Assist with maintenance of vendor files.• Assist with data collection required for regulatory compliance.Key Specific Responsibilities:• Assist associates with selecting supply items for purchase.• Preparation of purchase orders for inventory & non-inventory supplies as assigned.• Assist Replenishment Team as needed. • Fulfill other duties & responsibilities as determined by the procurement department.Measurement of Performance:• Proficiency and accuracy in entering Purchase Orders.• Competency in other tasks as assigned.Qualifications Required of This Position:• B. S. or equivalent with emphasis in Supply Chain, Accounting or Finance. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Strong decision-making ability. Excellent communication skills and the ability to interface with multiple departments and disciplines.
