As a Mental Health Technician at Sandstone Care You Will:
- Work in a residential facility/Medical Detox in Colorado Springs, Colorado,
- You will provide compassionate and effective care for our clients.
- You will have the opportunity to interact with them on a daily basis, assist them with their daily needs, and support them in their recovery journey.
- You will also participate in recreational activities that promote physical and emotional well-being, such as hiking, yoga, and gardening.
- You will ensure a safe and therapeutic environment for everyone by applying your verbal de-escalation and redirection skills.
- You will collaborate with other staff members, such as nurses, and therapists to deliver high-quality services and coordinate care plans.

Qualifications
You are a passionate and dedicated professional who wants to make a difference You have:
- A bachelor’s degree in a behavioral health science or equivalent work or volunteer experience.
- Previous experience with treatment of substance abuse and/or co-occurring disorders.
- Training in verbal de-escalation and/or mental health (strongly preferred).
- A valid driver’s license with no restrictions - Must be willing to transport clients in a 15 passenger van.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience (ideal but not required).

Compensation and Benefits
