What are the responsibilities and job description for the Training Specialist position at Sandstone Spring Valley?
Sandstone Spring Valley is currently searching for an a Staff Development Coordinator (Training Specialist) to assist with staff orientation, education, mentoring, and coaching. The Staff Development Coordinator will be responsible for staff orientation, ongoing training, and federally mandated in-service trainings. The Staff Development Coordinator will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with agency standards and state and federal laws.
The Job:
- Teach certain in-house courses.
- Co-Facilitate New Employee Orientation with Human Resources.
- Maintain employee education and training files.
- Ensure for or delivers annual mandatory and continuous education for staff using internal or external resources according to state and federal regualtions and company.
- Provide services associated with ongoing professional development of staff at the facility.
- Partner closely with Human Resources to ensure a successful onboarding process.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- Ability to Successfully Pass NABS Fingerprinting Clearance and Drug Screening.
- 2 Years Experience in Staff Education
- 2 Years Experience in Healthcare
Preferred Requirements:
- Active Unencumbered Nevada Registered Nurse Credential; or
- Active Unencumbered Nevada Licensed Practical Nurse Credential
