Job Description/Scope of Work:
Sanford Federal, Inc. is seeking a Custodial Worker which would be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in assigned areas of the facility. This includes performing routine cleaning tasks, such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces. The worker will also be responsible for emptying trash receptacles, restocking supplies, and ensuring that facilities are presentable and safe for occupants. The Custodial Services Worker may work independently or as part of a team, following established procedures and safety guidelines to deliver high-quality cleaning services.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces in assigned areas.
- Empty trash receptacles and replace liners as needed.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, and fixtures.
- Refill soap dispensers, paper towel holders, and toilet paper dispensers as necessary.
- Clean and maintain floor surfaces, including stripping, waxing, and buffing as required.
- Clean windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces.
- Restock cleaning supplies and notify supervisor when inventory is low.
- Follow safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to supervisor.
- Assist with special cleaning projects or tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous custodial experience required.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Physical stamina and ability to perform repetitive tasks, lift heavy objects, and stand for extended periods.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment preferred.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if required.
- Completion of required safety training, including asbestos awareness, emergency response, and OSHA compliance.
