Job Title: LTP Command Sergeant Major (CSM)/Operations Coach

Job Summary: The LTP Command Sergeant Major (CSM)/Operations Coach is responsible for providing invaluable coaching and support to military personnel within the Leader Training Program (LTP), focusing on operational excellence, leadership development, and mission readiness. Leveraging extensive combat military experience and expertise as a Brigade Command Sergeant Major (CSM) and Operations NCO, the Coach offers mentorship and guidance to enhance the operational capabilities and effectiveness of personnel. The position requires recent combat military experience, graduation from the US Army Sergeants Major Academy (USASMA), and experience as an Operations NCO at Battalion and Brigade levels.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operational Leadership Coaching: Provide expert coaching and mentorship to military personnel on operational leadership, tactics, and procedures, drawing from firsthand combat experience and leadership expertise.
• Mission Readiness Enhancement: Assist in assessing and enhancing the readiness and preparedness of personnel for mission execution, focusing on operational planning, execution, and assessment.
• Leadership Development: Mentor and develop junior leaders, non-commissioned officers (NCOs), and enlisted personnel in leadership skills, ethical decision-making, and professional development.
• Operational Planning Support: Offer guidance and support in operational planning processes at Battalion and Brigade levels, ensuring alignment with mission objectives and strategic goals.
• After Action Review (AAR) Participation: Participate in AAR sessions following training exercises or operations, providing feedback, insights, and recommendations to personnel and leadership to facilitate continuous improvement.
• Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as a subject matter expert in operational leadership, tactics, and procedures, providing guidance and advice based on extensive combat military experience and best practices.
• Collaboration and Coordination: Work closely with program leadership, fellow coaches, and external stakeholders to ensure alignment of coaching objectives with program goals and priorities.

Qualifications:

• Recent combat military experience required.
• Graduation from the US Army Sergeants Major Academy (USASMA) required.
• Experience as a Brigade Command Sergeant Major (CSM) and Operations NCO at Battalion and Brigade levels required.
• Desired qualifications include experience as an Army Service School instructor or Combat Training Center (CTC) Observer Controller Trainer (OCT).
• Secret level security clearance

• Proficiency in operational planning, execution, and assessment, with a focus on achieving mission objectives and ensuring mission success.
• Tactical proficiency in small unit operations, leadership decision-making, and operational coordination.
