Quality Control Inspector - Grounds Maintenance Services
Job Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector to oversee and ensure the quality and compliance of grounds maintenance services provided at the Army Reserve Facility in Belton, MO. The Quality Control Inspector will play a critical role in maintaining the appearance and standards of the facility's exterior flora by evaluating the execution of lawn maintenance, aeration, fertilization, weed control, and cleanup tasks, as outlined in the Performance Work Statement / Scope of Work (PWS / SOW).
Location: Army Reserve Facility 1200 Westover Rd. Belton, MO 64012
Responsibilities:
· Conduct weekly inspections of the grounds maintenance activities performed at Army Reserve Facility to ensure adherence to the Performance Work Statement (PWS) and contract terms.
· Verify that all services, including lawn maintenance, aeration, fertilization, weed control, and cleanup, are executed according to the specified standards and specifications outlined in the PWS.
· Evaluate the mowing process, assessing the height, uniformity, and quality of cut across different mowing types (I, II, III, IV) as defined in the PWS.
· Inspect the trimming of fence lines, edges of curbs, sidewalks, driveways, and other hard surfaces to verify that vegetation is properly maintained according to specifications.
· Ensure proper disposal of grass clippings, debris, and other waste generated during maintenance activities.
· Document inspection findings, prepare detailed reports, and communicate feedback to the grounds maintenance team and facility management.
Qualifications:
· Prior experience in quality control, grounds maintenance, landscaping, or a related field preferred.
· Knowledge of landscaping practices, including mowing, pruning, weed control, and fertilization.
· Attention to detail and strong observation skills to identify discrepancies and ensure quality.
· Effective communication skills to collaborate with the grounds maintenance team, facility management,
· Ability to maintain accurate records, prepare detailed reports, and document findings.
· Valid driver's license may be required for on-site visits.
