Title: Statistical Expert Witness.
Location: DCAA Headquarters, 8725 John J. Kingman Road, Suite 2135, Fort Belvoir, VA
Key Responsibilities:
· Serve as a Statistical Consultant, responsible for providing expert statistical and mathematical guidance, as well as legal support, to various offices within DCAA.
· Provide detailed knowledge of DCAA's statistical program history, explaining the progression from previous policies to current policies.
· Deliver and visualize statistical analysis and modeling for complex data, addressing and resolving statistical sampling and modeling issues associated with contract auditing.
· Utilize statistical methodologies, including survey sampling, dollar unit sampling,
Physical unit sampling, sample size estimation, improvement curves, and linear regression.
· Assist in the development of statistical software models and applications such as EZ-Quant and VSAP.
· Act as a Statistical Expert Witness, providing expert testimony for legal proceedings, including the Armed Services Board of Contract Appeals (ASBCA) or other judicial hearings.
· Demonstrate command of the English language suitable for legal audiences in both oral and written communication.
· Collaborate with other subject matter experts to address current issues related to quantitative methodologies and their impact on contract audit requirements.
Qualifications:
· Hold a PhD in Statistics.
· Possess a minimum of 15 years of statistical analysis experience.
· Previous experience serving as an expert witness for DCAA, preferred.
· General knowledge of government procurement laws and regulations.
· Demonstrated expertise in internal controls, risk assessments, and accounting policies.
· Knowledge of government procurement laws and DCAA audit procedures, preferred.

Pay: $34.94 - $42.08 per hour
