Accounts Payable Specialist - Hybrid Role

Your Role:
- Invoices: Date receive, review, obtain approvals, code, input, scan, and file.
- Payments: Schedule and prepare payments (Wires, Checks, ACH & SafePay)
- Resolve purchase orders, contracts, invoices, or payment discrepancies
- Three-way match inventory invoices
- Prepare invoice batches daily and input them in Great Plains and Sage 300
- Vendor Set-up and Maintenance, including Federal ID 1099 status
- Review Sales Tax and assess when necessary
- Maintains historical records by scanning and filing documents
- Upload AP invoices via SmartConnect
- Distributing daily corporate mail and mail AP payments
- Preparing Journal entries when necessary
- Recommend debit or credit memo’s when required (along with appropriate backup for adjustment)
- Backup for Concur expense report approving
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal customers and external vendors to efficiently streamline processes
- This is a hybrid role working 2-3 days in the office.
Your Background:
- 3 years of experience in processing accounts payable in a high volume environment
- Excel skills (pivot tables, vlookup, sort & filters)
- Gmail proficiency (search, label, etc…)
- Strong knowledge of high volume electronic invoicing processing
- Ability to analyze financial data and prepare reports
- Working knowledge of Reporting system (Great Plains Microsoft Dynamics and Sage 300)
- Outstanding organizational skills with demonstrated ability to prioritize workload
- Detail-oriented, accurate and dependable
- Professional written and oral communication skills
- Experience and ability to thrive in a rapidly growing and changing organization
- Strong initiative to take on additional responsibility as needed
