Position Summary
The behavioral health operations manager oversees the patient flow and the daily operations of the Sanitas Behavioral Health Collaborative Care Model (CoCM) program. The Behavioral Health operations manager ensures the highest standard of services are delivered and supports the assigned regions in a wide variety of tasks to promote operational efficiency and soundness.

- Conducts recruitment, selection, supervision, and evaluation of clinical staff.
- Assures continuity of care and appropriate utilization of resources.
- Handle confidential information including patient information in an ethical and professional manner.
- Ensures that the professional practice standards for group and/or individual therapeutic modalities are maintained by clinicians.
- In concert with other personnel and health care providers, responds to and resolves service, access and provider concerns/issues.
- Establish work schedules and assignments for staff according to workload, space and equipment availability.
- Identifies and resolves IT issues within the Division and monitors effectiveness of service connectivity to prevent disruption in patient care.
- Ensure that all employees conduct themselves in according to the policies established by the company.
- Administers disciplinary action according to company policy and submits documentation to the Department of HR.
- Ensure that all HIPAA standards are in compliance.
- Maintain program supply inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level.
- Work with board, management, agency committees, and attend meetings as required or needed.
- Consult with Director regarding updates, changes, needs in policy, procedure, training, etc.
- Participate in the refinement and expansion, where necessary, of existing program capabilities to create innovative solutions to meet members whole person healthcare needs and drive future business growth.
- Prepare monthly/quarterly, annual statistical and other reports as required.
- Develop and maintain updated outreach material, training curriculum, and manual.
- Promote teamwork among staff.
- Provide trainings and presentations to community groups and agencies.
- Manage and monitor all mandated reporting issues.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position manages all employees of the department and is responsible for the performance management and hiring of the employees within that department.
Required Education and Experience
- 2 year of management experience in health care field.
- Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in: 1) business administration, public administration, health administration or closely related field OR 2) a mental health related field such as psychology, social work or counseling.
- Ability to travel in assigned region.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, the ability to build relationships with other managers and with community-based organizations.
- Knowledge of relevant programming needs, data systems, regulations, and resources pertaining to behavioral health services
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred Education and Experience
- Relevant or any other job-related vocational coursework.
- Experience in direct first line supervision of professional, administrative and clerical is desirable.
- Experience in team building exercises
- Bilingual Spanish and English preferred.
