What's the Short Version?
The Marketing Operations Intern is responsible for supporting department staff during an 8-week program in several areas on the Marketing Operations Team: Project Management, Tradeshow Operations and Studio Operations. We provide extensive training, guidance, and support as well as the opportunity to experience the industry from the inside and gain valuable work experience.
What Will You Be Doing?
- Help to define, prioritize and assist with the execution of multiple tasks and activities required to meet deadlines.
- Support the Project Management team on organizational elements including proofreading, routing of proofs and spreadsheet maintenance.
- Support the Studio Operations team with merch preparation for photoshoots, as needed. This includes organizing, tagging and shipping to shoot locations.
- Support the Tradeshow team in preparation for key summer shows and events.
- Manage invoice routing/submission through Workfront.
- General administrative duties as assigned which may include special Marketing projects.
- Participate in intern cohort activities including: professional development workshops, warehouse tours, and meetings with leadership.
What Are We Looking For?
- Currently working towards a Bachelor's Degree in marketing, merchandising or related field.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational, analytic, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong desire to learn along with professional drive.
- Ability to take direction and absorb information quickly.
- Administrative skills which must include excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Responsive to staff needs, including professionalism, respect and consideration of others .
What's Our Offer?
Pay: You`ll earn $21.00 on an hourly basis.
Paid Time Off: You`ll accrue paid time off on a weekly basis based on hours worked.
What Should You Expect?
Office: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel, and stand and walk. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Ability to work on computer and mobile phone for multiple hours; with frequent interruptions. The employee may be required to lift and/or move up to 15 pounds. Work environment is moderately quiet. Required to travel in elevator or stairwells to attend meetings and engage with associates on multiple floors throughout building. SanMar's Eastpointe office is located near Seattle, WA and our standard working hours are 8:00-5:00 PST. Quarterly travel may be required.
