Warehouse Supervisor

Job Purpose:

Manage the Warehouse, Receiving and Staff for the Production Plant in Carrollton, Texas.

Nature of Duties:

• Ensures materials are received from proper vendors, that they are delivered to inventory, and that finished goods are packaged according to specification
• Reviews receipt of all materials to ensure purchase orders are open and the quality of materials received is correct
• Ensures the security and accountability of materials and goods with inventory control
• Ensures materials are available to meet production schedules
• Establishes and modifies operational methods and procedures
• Maintains documentation to reflect the effectiveness and efficiency of department activities
• Manages the activities of the team and is responsible for staffing decisions, training and development, and performance management of the staff to ensure the efficient operation of the warehouse and receiving
• Provides leadership and guidance to the team to meet schedules and/or resolve issues
• Drives the warehouse and receiving teams to implement improvements on quality, efficiency, and cost reduction.
• Administers company policies that directly affect subordinate employees
• Exercises judgment within defined procedures and policies to determine appropriate action
• Surveys and evaluates programs and processes, addressing concerns and issues as they are identified
• Informs upper management of the status of warehouse and its activities
• Promotes and enables effective communication and cooperation with other groups to meet goals

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma
• Up to 2 years of related experience
• Strong computer skills, especially with Excel, Oracle WMS and Google Suite required
• Excellent time management and communication skills (verbal and written)
• Proactive and action oriented with proven ability to work with a minimum of supervision and direction
• Prior Sanmina experience and systems knowledge is preferred
