JOB TITLE: Accounting Support Representative
SHIFT: 1st, Monday - Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
Job Purpose
Checks and verifies cost accounting, account payable records, prepares invoices and vouchers, types, files, posts ledger and general journal entries, and/or balances accounts payable and accounts receivable records. Uses office automated systems to input data, generate reports, conduct specialized research projects and respond to inquiries. May reconcile difficult accounts. May maintain a complete and systematic set of transactions in a specific phase of accounting.
Nature of Duties:
- Performing research to resolve invoice issues (terms, quantity and price discrepancies)
- Communicating in a professional manner with vendors and buyers via phone and e-mail to provide status on invoices
- Utilizing Excel spreadsheets
- Perform other duties and additional tasks as assigned and deemed necessary
- Good communication skills
Education/Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years’ experience in Accounts Payable
