JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Purpose:
Monitor and inspect circuit board assemblies manufactured in the SMT department utilizing Automatic Optical (AOI) and/or X-ray (5DX) equipment to ensure product quality and reliability.
Nature of Duties:
- Monitor SMT product at defined station(s) utilizing AOI or 5DX.
- Identify components including part numbers, values, package size/shape, placement and solderability.
- Report findings to appropriate personnel, and record findings on applicable documentation
- Perform other responsibilities as needed.
Education and Experience:
- Experience utilizing AOI and/or 5DX equipment.
- Working knowledge of IPC workmanship guidelines
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, and able to handle multiple tasks at once.
- May do a lot of standing and walking and may lift up to 35 pounds.
- Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination necessary.
- Must be available for overtime as needed.
- Must have a strong attention to detail.
- Solder certified and experience in electronics or contract manufacturing preferred.
- Experience in electronics or contract manufacturing and knowledge of IPC workmanship guidelines preferred.
