Department Description:
The Strategy department in Northborough, MA includes Site Project Portfolio Department (SPPD), Sanofi Manufacturing System (SMS), Strategy, Digital and Innovation. The team is responsible for driving an integrated SMS strategy and plan, ensuring the strategy is well communicated and understood throughout the site and that programs/projects achieve committed targets.
Job Summary:
The Principle Continuous Process Improvement Analyst is responsible for contributing to all aspects of SMS and operational excellence at the Site. This includes leading change and engaging people in making improvements that support site objectives resulting in quantifiable improvements to safety, quality, delivery and cost. This position reports to the Site SMS Manager and will work closely with Leadership Teams, functions, and the SMS Network to drive a culture of lean & performance, lead continuous improvement initiatives, deploy and mature SMS ways of working, engage people for change and contribute back to the Global SMS network.
Key Responsibilities:
Site Performance: Facilitate cross-functional performance improvement initiatives and kaizen events which are aimed at removing non-value added activities and standardizing work to improve safety, quality, delivery and cost.
Problem Solving/Process Simplification: Support or lead Kaizen, 5S, Value Stream Analysis, process data capture/trending/root cause analysis, Gemba Problem Solving (GPS) and other problem-solving improvement workshops.
SMS Roadmap: Support the execution of site SMS roadmap with respect to deployment, capability building and sustainability of SMS culture, standards, and ways of working.
SMS Ways of Working: Drive strong engagement in SMS ways of working across the site through the +QDCI and SMS visual management daily routines from Shop Floor (L0) to Site Leadership (L3).
SMS Training: Co-lead or lead trainer for SMS & Lean trainings.
Leadership Teams: Actively support cross-functional Leadership Teams, e.g. an Autonomous Production Unit (APU).
Digital SMS: Lead identification and/or deployment of digital technologies in alignment with the site Digital Roadmap to enable SMS ways of working, e.g. electronic +QDCI, i-Obeya, Microsoft TEAMS.
Industry Best Practices: Keep abreast of best in class innovations in Lean and digital transformation.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a business, technical, or related field with 5+ years' experience.
Experience with advanced analytical techniques and data reporting.
Strong problem solver and able to generate innovative solutions to a broad range of issues with a holistic approach to impact on the business and employee population.
Understanding and direct experience with Lean manufacturing concepts and Sanofi Manufacturing System (SMS) or equivalent.
Intermediate to Advanced Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in a business, technical, or related field.
Experience with digital transformation or implementation.
Lean / Six Sigma certification.
Experience and/or certification in Facilitation and Coaching skills.
Excellent communication skills and ability to influence and build relationships across the broadest constituencies both internal and external to the site.
Experience with cGMP manufacturing operations in biopharmaceuticals or highly regulated environment.
