JOB OVERVIEW:
The Product Owner (PO) – Differentiated FLU is a member of the North America Digital Product Team. This team is responsible for developing and managing all aspects of digital products through their lifecycle. The North America Digital Differentiated FLU Platform provides key customer, marketing, sales, and field insights driving Fluzone and Flublok sales and marketing actions for Sanofi Vaccines North America Commercial Operations. The Differentiated FLU platform grows almost $2B in revenue by differentiating influenza vaccine digital service offerings and creating customer preference for Sanofi Fluzone and Flublok vaccines. The technology service offerings enable Sanofi vaccines to effectively compete on service as a key differentiator.
The PO – Differentiated FLU has ultimate accountability and responsibility to deliver a workable Differentiated FLU product that delivers business value, every sprint. The Differentiated FLU POD focuses on a wide array of initiatives developed on the Differentiated FLU platform to deliver value to internal and external customers. The PO is a member of the Agile Team responsible for defining Stories and prioritizing the Team Backlog. (S)He has a significant role in quality control and is the only team member empowered to accept stories as done.
Differentiated FLU POD Ambitions:
Anticipate future digital disruption: Deploy a flexible solution to be able to respond to changing market demands without substantial re-investment.
Drive business: Engage with local stakeholders to meet deployment ambitions defined in the associated business case.
Build strong differentiation & customer loyalty: ensure the minimum viable product (MVP) matches differentiation objectives while providing an exceptional customer experience.
Respond quickly: work in an agile manner and adapt quickly to fast-changing influenza vaccine market conditions.
Deliver cost savings and compliance: reduce overall deployment and run costs while becoming more flexible to achieve deployment objectives.
End to end accountable for the above ambitions.
Differentiated FLU POD deliverables (may include but are not limited to):
Implement self-service tools and call metric/sales performance KPIs.
New efficient processes and ways of working in moving to produce new insights and tools.
Enhance and increase the robustness of direct customer-facing tools and business insight interfaces.
Differentiated FLU POD Key Performance Indicators (may include but are not limited to):
Value delivered by Flu platform
All Sanofi Vaccine and VaxServe M&S (including Sales Reps) are able to get next-day call planning insights via self-service applications and able to use their other tools effectively.
Ability to publish business-developed insights throughout the organization within 5 business days.
<1 incident per month reported for Customer-Facing interfaces.
Minimal major production issues during the shipping season
Quick resolution of any production issues during the shipping season
Defect rate management (<20%)
Primary Responsibilities & Key Characteristics
Owns the “Product” from a “What” and “Why” perspective (accountable for vision and requirements) for their specified product, or component.
Works with the scrum master and engineering delivery team daily, answering questions, addressing ambiguities, and being readily available when issues arise that could delay the project.
Is accountable for delivering incremental value every sprint, aligning with the overall goals of the business.
Can negotiate Yes/No with the Business and/or the Digital Towers.
Works closely and owns the relationship with Customer Experience.
Owns backlog prioritization of work.
Creates requirements and Jira stories.
Keeps the vision of the product up to date.
Owns roadmap and sprint priorities.
Ensures follow-up and reporting of KPI.
Ensures that Digital Product/computerized system meets all controls to address applicable quality, regulatory (Data Privacy, GxP, SOX, etc.), and cybersecurity requirements.
Regular budget management to ensure the achievement of budget targets
Work closely with all business unit stakeholders to define and solve user requirements.
Needs to closely coordinate with other North America Pods and all delivery teams (e.g., the Digital Commerce team).
Maintains awareness of industry trends and the availability of potential new disruptive technology.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
General qualifications:
Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree.
5 years of experience working reporting, analytics and/or business operations business stakeholders, business case development, and rollout/adoption planning of systems or products.
Able to work in a dynamic environment including the ability to maintain relationships and understand different business models and processes that may vary.
Applied use of Agile methodology.
Product Owner certification is a plus
Functional Knowledge / Skills in the following areas:
Experience as a Product Owner is preferred.
Experience with and in supporting reporting/analytics/web application platforms.
Good knowledge of reporting/analytics/business operations and best practices.
Strong conceptual thinking and problem-solving skills.
Understand and live Agile methodology.
Be able to write clear and easily understandable user stories.
Experience with JIRA & Confluence a plus
Comfortable with one-on-one to large group presentations.
Experience in running workshops to gather requirements, e.g., user story workshops.
Experience of full life cycle projects from initial scoping through to delivery.
Interest in technical topics.
Interest in hands-on experience.
Experience with business operations tools (e.g., Targeting, Alignment, CRM) with functional and technical experience is a plus.
General Knowledge / Skills required:
