THIS IS AN ONSITE WORK POSITION
Position: Java Architect-Data Conversion
Education: Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or other related Information Technology (IT) fields
Mandatory Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Work experience designing successful, large-scale IT projects
- Proficient database management system skills to build SQL scripts to extract, transform, and load data from old structures to new structures
- Analysis and understanding of data structures and schemas
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during the data conversion process
- Ability to clearly communicate with team members and stakeholders about the data conversion process and any issues that arise
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and to work under tight deadlines
- Understanding the system from which the data is being moved from and to
- Ability to handle sensitive data responsibly
- Strong SQL programming skills
- Experience in completing the SQL scripts to convert the data within the schedule timeline
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong collaboration skills with stakeholders and project team
- Ability to communicate the technical data conversion design in non-technical terms for the end-users to understand
- Experience working in a multi-vendor project team members
- Technical understanding of data conversion projects
- Experience designing and programming in development projects
- J2EE/Java (JSP, EJB)
- JBoss 7.x application servers
- JDBC
- MS-SQL 2019 database
- PL/SQL stored procedures, triggers, views, etc.
- XML
Preferred Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Government, Law Enforcement, or Public Safety IT projects
- Master s Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or other related IT fields or equivalent Project Management work experience
