Clinical Application Analyst, EHR

Responsibilities include:

• Design, build and implementation of the Epic Willow (Rx) Inventory module
• Based on core knowledge of application and operational requirements can translate requirements/concepts into functionality.
  • Gathers, designs, and develops detailed specifications and participates in incorporating the clinical, business, and technical requirements.
  • Utilizes clinical and operational expertise to ensure team deliverables support the delivery of safe and efficient care.
  • Participates in the re-engineering of operational workflow processes with end-users/business owners and maintains a working-level understanding of assigned departmental operations.
• Development of user specifications, clinical operations workflows, application build/configuration, testing, and implementation.
• Provides project team support, end-user training, and application maintenance/problem–resolution.
• Utilizes knowledge of medications and pharmacy workflows to troubleshoot low to moderate complexity end-user issues, workflow problems, and enhancement requests for departmental users, associated medical staff, key stakeholders, management, and leadership.
• Acts as a consultant to healthcare professionals regarding utilization of pharmaceutical therapies and participates in committees and quality improvement initiatives as directed.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND LICENSURE:

• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare and computer science or applicable field (i.e. Pharmacy, Nursing, Health Care Administration, Medicine, or affiliated health profession) and three years work related experience in the healthcare information technology field or applicable field (i.e. Pharmacy, Nursing, Health Care Administration, Medicine, or affiliated health profession.
• Two (2) years of Retail Experience OR Graduate of a (2) year Pharmacy Residency program specializing in Informatics
• Two (2) years’ experience performing system analysis of business, clinical or administrative applications including design, testing, and troubleshooting problems.
