Lead Barista

Since 1952, Santa Claus House has been putting smiles on the faces of adults and children alike. Join our merry crew in helping make that possible. We are currently seeking a lead barista to assist in daily operations overseeing our Sweet Shop. Our Sweet Shop offers a unique variety of specialty drinks and sweets from fudge, to sodas, to truffles, and ice cream. We have something for everyone. The lead barista is responsible for providing leadership, direction, and support to the team as well as enforcing and implementing procedures to make sure that the Sweet Shop is running efficiently and prioritizing customer satisfaction. A creative individual who loves human interaction and thrives in a fast paced, ever-changing environment is a must.

Pay: Decided on Experience. Starting at $17.50 per hour.

Requirements:

· *Coffee management/lead experience preferred*

· Over 18 years of age

· Candidates must have at least 2 years of barista or food handling experience. References for former barista jobs may be required.

· Must be able to lift 25lbs regularly.

· Must be willing to work weekends. Santa Claus House is a retail store and candidates must be willing to work at least 1 weekend day.

· Must be able to work 40 hours a week. (Shift is 9:30 am to 6:30 pm).

· Must be willing to adapt to change and work diplomatically with others.

· Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and verbal communication skills.

· Organized and detail oriented.

· Ability to work in a fast paced and high pressure environment.

Duties:

· Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, espresso drinks, specialty sodas, and teas.

· Keep fudge and chocolate case organized and clean at all times.

· Oversee restocking of supplies and food products.

· Oversee ordering for soft drinks, food products, and espresso.

· Oversee restocking fudge and chocolates case.

· Train, coach, and motivate team members to deliver high-quality coffee and food products.

· Take customer orders and provide exceptional customer service.

· Operate POS and handle cash transactions accurately.

· Maintain and oversee cleanliness and organization of the sweet shop.

· Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines.

· Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations.

· Develop a deep understanding of our menu including drinks and fudge flavors.

· Serve as role model for employees by leading by example.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $17.50 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
