Lead Technology Specialist
POSITION DETAILS:
8 hours a day
Range 37: $26.62 – 29.32/hour
40 hours a week (Steps 1-3 on a 6-step salary plan)

POSITION DESCRIPTION: The focus of this position includes performing advanced technical work in planning, installation, repairing, troubleshooting, maintaining, and upgrading networks (switches, routers, wireless infrastructure, monitoring and alerting systems, telecommunication, firewalls) to integrate IoT networked devices and other various services or equipment that support facilities management technology.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage and monitor District-wide wired and wireless network including the planning, installation, configuration, monitoring and updating of network components, servers, and storage devices.Coordinate and direct the technical support team to manage and respond to large-scale support issues, concerns, and difficulties, including troubleshooting, system testing and wide range of repairs of hardware and software applications.Manage complex support situations; investigate, assess and confirm issues are resolved; work with outside support resources, vendors and providers as needed to address additional user support issues. Conduct in-service training in new software, applications and new technology; monitor and assign user support requests; prioritize requests for assistance; provide support for critical and time-sensitive support issues; coordinate efforts to meet staff timelines.Manage student email and learning application system accounts.Manage District staff and student device configurations.Build, maintain and monitor the District and all school websites; train and assist District staff with routine content modification.Communicate with vendors to problem solve on both existing software as well as on new releases.Participate in available professional development to meet new standards; drive a vehicle to conduct work.Provide guidance, direction, and training to Education Technology Specialists.

Pay: $35.78 - $39.44 per hour
