WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
Position Summary
The Cybersecurity Associate will work with the Technology team to help understand the threat landscape by scanning, tracking, analyzing, and reporting on vulnerabilities as part of the vulnerability management process. S/he will play a key role in supporting the security teams in vulnerability management initiatives.
The Cybersecurity Associate reports to the Global CISO.
Position Duties / Responsibilities
• Conducts vulnerability assessment on the target IT Infrastructure, applications and related information assets
• Conducts risk assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of existing controls and determine the impact of proposed changes to business processes,
applications and systems
• Prioritize vulnerabilities discovered along with remediation timeline(s)
• Conducts Penetration Testing (e.g., internal, external, wireless, physical, social, etc.); Post vulnerability assessment, work with various stakeholders to provide remediation to the identified risks and bring the same to closure
• Conducts walk-through of the assessment report to the stakeholders and help define remediation plan
• Follows a standard methodology to identify and/or detect threats to the IT
infrastructure, applications and other information assets
• Works with various teams to follow a pre-assessment plan/ and assessment schedule for every assessment, conduct threat assessment, and deliver an
assessment report
• Conducts security research on threats and remediation methods
• Develops and maintains a set of operational and forward looking security
metrics
• Conducts proof of concepts, vendor comparisons and recommend solutions in line with business requirements
• Oversees daily monitoring of security reports to identify issues and follow these issues to resolution
• Oversees security projects and the security testing of new and existing
applications
• Prepares system security reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends; presents reporting for management review
• Other duties as assigned or requested by immediate supervisor
Specialized Knowledge
• Security in a complex banking environment
• Ability to manage multiple competing priorities
• Interpret regulatory requirements and implement required work programs
• Strong understanding of vulnerability scanning and reporting
• Previous Linux OR Windows system administration experience
• Knowledge of vulnerability scoring systems (CVSS/CMSS)
• Experience with Qualys Vulnerability Management Module
Education:
Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
Business Experience:
5-7 years of relevant experience or demonstrated required level of proficiency
Technical Knowledge:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with
different level/market across the organization
Sound problem solving and project management skills
Excellent analytical, strategic thinking and modeling skills
Experience with regulatory examination and audit processes
Problem solving approach oriented and customer focused
Very good technical skills and managerial skills
Teamwork and team spirit focused including flexibility, experience in people management
Licenses / Certifications:
CompTIA Security , CISSP and SSCP certifications preferred
CEH a plus
Languages: Spanish, English
