Our client, located in one of the most sought-after locations in the Midwest has an opening for a Cytopathologist who can interact with patients and clinicians. Candidates must be board certified in both Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and board certified/eligible in Cytopathology. They are looking for a candidate who is ready to hit the ground running with a “hands on” work ethic. Current fellows are encouraged to apply.
This is a very cohesive group with low turnover, looking to replace one of their long serving, retiring pathologists. They have a diversified client base with a mix of medium to small hospitals, surgery centers and doctor’s offices in a free-standing lab facility. They also do work for the medical examiner and private autopsy service by providing histology and special stains support.
They are looking for someone who enjoys being creative in both pathology, informatics and business. There are many ways to accomplish good laboratory practice and they have the opportunity to make quick decisions based upon the needs of their patients, clients and themselves. Lifestyle is important to them and they enjoy an efficient and accurate practice environment.
Their estimated number of surgical’s are 14,500 and 1190 non-gyn cytologies, Frozen sections are approximately; 70 per year. Minimal call coverage is a part of the position but there is no weekend work required.
The group is offering an excellent salary and benefits package including four weeks of vacation to start and a Partnership opportunity is offered after only a few years.
